Stretch 'n' Grow |
In February, March, April and May the children took part in a series ten of Stretch 'n' Grow sessions.
These sessions are run by an outside instructor and are run to teach the children the basics of proper
exercise, nutrition and related health issues. The sessions last approximately half and hour and take place
in normal pre-school session times. Each session includes a short discussion on a different health related topic each week and we give the children a related handout, to take home, colour in and talk to about. Stretch 'n' Grow teaches children that exercise is fun, but more than that, it is a complete health programme, which is aimed at encouraging the habits of a lifetime. £236 was donated by parents, covering approximately two thirds of the cost. |
Box Day |
| On one day, just before Easter, the pre-school puts all of the children's
toys into a cupboard. The children are provided with cardboard boxes and encouraged to use their imagination.
Boxes become boats, houses, tunnels and a multitude of other items. |
